Week 1 in Class 4

This week in class 4, we started our new text: Beowulf. We have really enjoyed reading the narrative and understanding the old language used. Towards the end of the week we created our own ‘live’ news reports to show the homecoming of Beowulf after he had slayed the beast.

Art Workshop with Helen Yates

Athletics sportshall competition

Today, a group of 11 children took part in a sportshall athletics competition held at Myerscough College. They battled tremendously against some tough competition and finished in 6th place.

Class 4 become taxonomists

This half term in science, Class 4 are looking at classification and sorting living things based on their characteristics. During this lesson we became taxonomists and created our own zoos giving reasons for why we had grouped particular animals together.
