Shadow Puppets

We continued our science topic of light this week and investigated shadows. We created our own shadow puppet theatre retelling well known nursery rhymes. We realised that the nearer an object is to the light source the larger the shadow created.

Fireworks

Christmas Castaway

Refraction

This week in our science we have been investigating refraction. We learnt that refraction is when light rays travel through one medium to another eg. from the air through glass or water. This can make certain objects look bent like a pencil or straw in water for example.
