Image of Bonfire Forest School

Our Forest School skills were put to the test today! The rain came down hard whilst we were trying to build and make our fires, but no matter how heavy it came - our flames still burnt brightly!

There was LOTS of mud for us to be squelching about in (although I think us children preferred that to the adults). We toasted marshmallows and Donna explained the history behind Bonfire Night: how Guy Fawkes was involved in a plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament in 1605 in a failed bid to kill the king, James I.
